Position Overview: The Duty Supervisor at our Doha location plays a leadership role in overseeing airline flight operations and ensuring the efficient functioning of the Duty Officer team. This position involves supervisory responsibilities, requiring strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Key Responsibilities
- All responsibilities of the Airline Duty Officer role, as mentioned above.
- Supervise and mentor the Duty Officer team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Coordinate team schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet operational demands.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex issues and provide resolution in line with company policies.
- Collaborate with various departments and external partners to optimize flight operations and customer service.
- Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular meetings with the Duty Officer team to communicate updates, procedures, and goals.
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness during peak operational hours and emergency situations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures and best practices.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
- Substantial experience in airline operations, ground handling, or customer service within the aviation industry, with demonstrated leadership skills.
- In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software for flight operations management.
- Strong decision-making abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.
