Full Job Description
A Receptionist, or Front Desk Receptionist, is responsible for performing clerical tasks within an office setting to support daily operations. Their duties include answering and transferring phone calls, sorting and delivering mail and greeting visitors when they arrive for meetings with management.
Receptionist duties and responsibilities
*Welcome visitors to the office, assist them in making appointments, assure their comfort and direct them.
*Call persons waiting for visitors and book them a room to meet in.
*Answer incoming telephone calls; screen calls, forward calls and /or records and forward messages accurately and handle caller’s inquiries whenever possible.
*Receive, sort and distribute mail within the office; file correspondence and other materials as required.
*Maintain necessary files; sort, file and retrieve documents and records as necessary.
*Establish and maintain a positive and professional relationship with co-workers, customers and visitors.
*Perform general clerical duties, including but not limited to photocopying, sending fax, sending emails and filing.
*Provide assistance to other colleagues when feasible, like for basic work and projects.
*Maintain security by following procedures; monitoring the logbook; issuing visitor badges.
*Ensure the reception area is tidy.
*Provide administrative services for the CEO.
Education/Qualification
* At least High School graduate.
Experience & Knowledge
*One to three years experience as Secretary/Receptionist.
Skills
*Friendly, polite, punctual and organized
*Excellent typing and communication skills.
*Good knowledge in handling interactions with colleagues, superiors, visitors and other third-party personnel.
*Capable of handling difficult situations in a proper manner.
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: QAR3,500.00 – QAR4,000.00 per month
