Assistant Educator Job Vacancies In Qatar Museum Authority

Role Purpose

Assistant Educator is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating different programs under learning and outreach. A program coordinator will monitor the approved expenditure of a program and prepare financial reports as well as maintain records pertaining to the programs in that area.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Schedule and conduct programs, classes, workshops and other presentations for youth, families, and other adult groups.
• Develop orientated resources and programs that highlight the stories and objects of the Mathaf.
• Develop written plans for various projects
• Plan and direct all programming initiatives for the museum’s indoor and outdoor play areas.
• Identify and liaise with community groups in efforts to create partnership working with Mathaf.
• Create monthly a report of programs and attendance
• Report on end of year spending for all public program’s projects.
• Write and submit regular evaluation reports on all family and outreach projects
• Data entry and database administration for audience contacts
• Overseeing booking systems, visitor responses and public interaction
• Preparation of materials and logistics in advance of programs
• Research on audience, and community contacts
• Support of Educators and freelance teaching staff in program delivery

Willingness to work with multiple audiences.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• In-depth knowledge of the informal learning sector in Qatar with emphasis on family education
• Awareness, and ideally, experience of working with diverse cultural groups in Qatar.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education, Experience, and certification requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or Masters preferred.
