Brief Description
The post holder will perform a key role in the Mobile Healthcare Service in the community, by assisting the MHS Doctor or Nurse throughout home visits. The post holder will assist by translating and performing other non-clinical tasks under the supervision of the MHS Doctor or Nurse.
Detailed Description
The Patient Care Assistant assists the nurse or midwife in providing basic patient care to ensure the provision of high quality patient care during her/his duty hours. The PCA is expected to work in shifts, providing care and support to patients over a 24 hour period, 7 days a week as the needs of the patient and service require. Patient care is undertaken under the direct supervision and guidance of a Registered Nurse or Midwife in accordance with PCA scope of practice, established corporate wide policies and procedures, nursing and midwifery standards, guidelines and protocols
Job Requirements
Essential Education: Completed High Secondary School education.
Essential Experience: No minimum experience required.
Following recruitment to the post, the employee undertake and must successfully complete within the agreed timeframe the approved HMC Patient Care Assistant course which covers the HMC PCA scope and competencies.
Language Skills: „h English �V ability to read, write and speak �V basic (essential) „h Arabic �V ability to read, write and speak (preferred)
Post-holders are required to hold a full, clean driving license, with recent driving experience.
