Naufar Manager of Community & International Relations Job Description:

Strategy & Planning

-Support the Executive Director in the development of the strategies and plans for the department to ensure that Naufar meet the vision, mission and organisational objectives.

-Execute the translation of Naufar’s overarching strategy into business plans for the Community and International Relations Department and ensure effective performance monitoring and management, in order to achieve department’s strategic objectives.

Awareness and Educational Programmes

-Support the development and implementation of awareness campaigns in order to highlight the risks and burden of substance misuse, help reduce social stigma associated with patients, and encourage them to seek treatment.

-Organise educational activities, events and materials aiming at enlightening and educating the society on addiction issues, and the importance of seeking treatment.

Strategic After-Care

-Coordinate with the Recovery and Engagement Department and partner with external parties to support the integration of recovered Guest Clients back into family life and the wider society as guided by Executive Director – C&IR


-Assist in Building relationships with local, regional and international Government, Private and NGO Entities relevant to Naufar services, such as UNODC, World Health Organisation, GCC Narcotics Anonymous, Majlis, sports clubs, Ministries etc. in order to facilitate external funding, encourage mutual beneficial ventures and acquire sponsorships supporting Naufar in its battle against addiction.

-Detail plans to create partnerships and facilitate Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with local and international agencies and entities in order to encourage collaborative work and determine training/programme needs.

Promotion of Service and Marketing

-Gather culture related information for the Naufar Communication Department with on targeted groups in order to support the design of more effective marketing programmes and help attract Guest Clients.

-Assist Executive Director – C&IR support, through external communication, the promotion of Naufar treatment and rehabilitation services, targeting especially paying Guest – Clients from other GCC countries in order to increase revenue generation.

Event/Campaigns and Sponsorships

-Execute corporate events and campaigns including managing invitation data base, tracking of expenses, selection of venues, branding of events, fund raising and sponsorships activities planning, and media coverage in coordination with the Communication department to ensure successful event management and execution.

Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures

-Develop and implement of departmental policies, procedures and controls to ensure alignment with relevant procedural/regulatory requirements, while striving for maximum performance.

-Ensure compliance with regulatory and state agencies in order to avoid potential legal issues Management Reporting

Prepare and complete all departmental reports in a comprehensive, accurate and timely manner, and comply with international principles and standards, and Naufar’s requirements.

-Generate and regular and ad-hoc reports related to the department and assist Executive Director – C&IR highlight critical issues and challenges, and provide strategic insight to ensure effective decision-making.

Professional/Academic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Clinical or Medical field


5 years’ experience

Experience dealing with senior management
