The VIE will be attached to the SHES department of the project on site, which comprises approximately 290 professionals in Health, Safety, Environment, Security and emergency management and which is structured in poles:

• The technical team, under the SHES Technical manager: Management of work permits, training, inspections, audits, steering of the project HSE management system, performance and continuous improvement.
• The security and emergency management team under the security and ERT manager
• Field teams (Superintendent, supervisors and officers) under the Field HSE managers
• Risk management and accident/incident investigation
• The medical team under the Site doctor
• The environmental team under the site environmental coordinator

It is a totally international team, each member having a strong experience of working on mega projects and in Qatar / Middle East.

About the job :

You will be part of the HSE team of the NFE project which is led by Technip Energies and our partner Chiyoda forming a partnership called CTJV.

Your tasks will consist of :

• To support the Site SHES Manager in ensuring Project SHES requirements are adequately reflected in the CTJV SHES Management System and Programs and compliance thereto are confirmed
• Take Safety as a first priority and Follow Golden Rules
• Attend required SHES / QA Trainings
• Familiar with COMPANY and RLIC HSE Requirements as defined within the contract.
• Thorough understanding of Qatar legislative requirements pertaining to HSE matters.
• Deep knowledge with regards to International Standards and treaties the Project have to adhere to with regards to HSE.
• Knowledgeable pertaining to the content of CTJV SHES Management System, Plans, Procedures and Programs.
• Advise discipline supervisors for their involvement of all HSE matters as:
• Preventing injury to personnel, damage to plant and fire prevention
• Identify need and advise on ways to improve existing work methods
• Statutory and contractual requirements affecting HSE at work
• Provision, use and maintenance of protective clothing and equipment.
• Ensures of suitability from the HSE aspect of new or hired equipment.
• Supports CTJV Subcontractors effort for producing Risk assessment and JSA.
• Conducts audits and inspection to make sure that only safe working systems are in operation and that health, safety and fire prevention requirements are being observed.
• Maintains contact with CTJV Subcontractors HSE representatives in order to co-ordinate and assists the CTJV Subcontractors in the implementation and enforcement of the CTJV SHES program.
• Assists CTJV Subcontractors in investigations to determine the cause of incidents and dangerous occurrences and recommending means of preventing recurrences.
• Attends regular progress and management meetings, reviewing HSE performance, injuries, damage and dangerous occurrences.
• Promotes within the CTJV construction group and Subcontractors an understanding that incident prevention is an integral part of construction and operation efficiency.
• Liaises with the CTJV Site SHES Manager & CTJV SHES Technical Manager to improve the HSE management system in place.
• Participates for his are in the issue of the HSE activities reports.
• You are requested to participate Weekly Mass TBT
• You are requested to participate Daily Task Instruction everyday
• You are requested to submit 1 Safety Observation Card (SOC) per day.
